Become more attractive to sellers with a mortgage pre-approval.

Most REALTORs® require buyers to get pre-approved before even starting to house hunt. I offer mortgage pre-approvals in Brunswick, Saint Simons, Jekyll Island and the surrounding areas including all of Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Before you start looking for your first home, let me help you with a mortgage pre-approval.

By partnering with Capital City Home Loans, I can help you get pre-approved and on your way to home ownership. Simply fill out our mortgage pre-approval application securely on our website. With a pre-approval letter in hand, you know that you may get approved for a mortgage before you even look at your first potential new home.

Some realtors require buyers to get pre-approved before even starting to house hunt. A simple mortgage pre-approval letter can help you narrow your search to find exactly the home you need. It also makes the mortgage application process that much smoother.

While my office is physically located on Saint Simons Island, Georgia, I lend all over Georgia and the Southeast. If you’re looking to buy a new mountain home or investment property in another state, we can help you too!

We can help your buy, build, or refinance a house almost anywhere in the Southeastern states. We focus on the Saint Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Brunswick markets, but our reach is substantial to serve all your needs.

Determine how your credit looks.

I will look at your payment history, income, and current debts to determine how likely you are to pay your loan each month. The number value assigned to your “reliability” is known as your credit score and is one of the biggest factors in getting approved for a mortgage.

There are many websites that allow you to quickly check your credit & credit score for free. Two of our favorites are www.freecreditreport.com and www.creditkarma.com. These consumer credit score websites will typically not reflect you exact mortgage credit score. Feel free to contact me with questions about how those scores differ.

If you have a credit score below 640, consider delving deeper into your report to make sure it is accurate. Stay current with all monthly payments and reduce debt where possible to boost your score.
